Ceramics & Sculpture

Ceramics and Sculpture is an intermediate course that explores three-dimensional art with an emphasis on clay construction.

Students in this class examine the history and science behind ceramics and make original pieces through various hand building and wheel throwing techniques, resulting in the creation of a variety of both functional and decorative artworks.

Ceramic design skills and surface treatment  like basic texture techniques, sgraffito, slip trailing, and glazing are also explored.
